I pulled an all nighter last night in order to make sure I made my cab and flight in time. I was a little delirious, but I thought this sign in the back of the cab was funny at the moment.

The new year is upon us, and I’ve already hit the road traveling for work. I’ve been in Atlanta this past week, and if you haven’t seen the news, then you might be surprised to hear the city has been buried in a blizzard!
Early Sunday evening, I pulled up into my hotel in Midtown Atlanta and snapped this picture of downtown “Hotlanta”. The news had forecasted heavy snow, but not a flake was in sight.
A few hours later, I opened the curtains from my room, and sure enough…”Hotlanta” was no more. For the past 3 days, highs have been in the low 30′s during the day, and deep into the teens at night.
Below is my ride for the week, an AWD Honda Element. Although it may not seem capable, this little box seriously got me all over the city passing stuck and sliding cars left and right. I have an all new respect for Elements after driving one for a week! Growing up in LA, the snow was fun for a few days…but I’m definitely getting a bit of cabin fever…I can’t wait to catch my 6:50AM flight back to LA!

It’s that time again folks, I’ll be unplugged from civilization for about the next 10 days. I’m going to an undisclosed location for a business trip/off roading. The location is actually going to be a surprise for about 50 clients that will be joining us out there. But I’ll leave this picture as a clue to where we are going.

By the time you read this, I’ll probably be one of those specs on the beach. That’s right folks, I’ll be in Hawaii for work/vacay for about the next week! It’ll be nice to get away and recharge my batteries.

Infinity Pool 55 stories above ground opens in Singapore in dazzling £4billion resort
This man is the first lap swimmer in the world to enjoy such a view – 55 stories over the city of Singapore. The Marina Bay Sands tourism development features a 150meter long pool – three times the length of an Olympic swimming pool. The infinity pool concept was said to have been inspired by the terraced rice paddies in Bali, Indonesia. The resort was designed by Moshe Safdie, who said he based it on a deck of cards.
For those not familiar with the current exchange rate, 1 pound is roughly 1.56 dollars, which means this resort cost in the neighborhood of 6.24 BILLION dollars.

This picture makes me want to go to a gadget store and buy one of those cheesy wave sound machines so I can pretend I’m at the beach. Gotta love when good photography is able to enhance an already dream like subject.

Being that I was in the Colorado mountains for about a week, I found it appropriate to try some of the wild game type meats when I had an opportunity.
Although the meats I had weren’t local wildlife, they were still somewhat harder to come by.
Below are some appetizers I had, there was a piece of venison (aka deer meat), a venison stuffed mushroom, some ostrich, and a slice of buffalo. All of them were surprisingly pleasant. I had expected a gamey taste from the venison, but everything tasted amazing. Now I can go ahead and check off ostrich, and venison from my taste test list.
I feel like a certified mountain man!
