The Town

I was able to check out Ben Affleck’s new movie The Town last weekend.  Ben Affleck not only starred in the movie, but he directed it as well.  I was pleasantly surprised by his directing abilities.  Now to the movie, the story itself was actually decent.  There was a fair amount of action combined with a realistic plot.  I think I would have enjoyed the movie even more if it weren’t for the fact that I read a critic’s review comparing The Town to the movie Heat.  Heat is one of my favorite movies, and it actually inspired the North Hollywood bank robbery/shootout that  happened a few years ago.  Because the critic compared the two, I had high action packed expectations.  That being said, The Town still kept me entertained.  I give it a thumbs up, and would recommend it if you haven’t seen it.
